The strings in the Sugar series are made from a bio-plastic derived from sugar cane, which was recently discovered in Italy. The bass strings are made with a special red protective varnish that not only ensures less noise under the fingers, but also prevents the allergic reactions to metals and undesirable oxidation processes that frequently occur on common strings with silver-plated copper windings. The sound of these strings is clearly bright, clean and fast, and offers great acoustic power.
