D'Addario Auto-Trim tuning machines remove that need by automatically cutting off the excess string left after a string change. The sturdy brushed-metal construction and 18:1 worm gears ensure excellent tuning stability, even after using the tremolo or playing very hard. The built-in locking system holds the string firmly in place, so there is no need to wind several turns of string around each machine. Simply insert the string, tighten the locking system while tuning the string to the right tension, then use the automatic trimming function to remove the excess string.
