String set Swing Bass Standard-Light 45-100 round wound NICKEL
Rotosound
RS66LN
This is the string set that, when it came out in 1966, changed the role of the bass player by finally letting them step to the front of the stage. Developed in collaboration with John Entwistle (bass player of The Who), these strings were the first to generate the power and tonal richness essential to Rock'n'Roll. Continuously improved for nearly 50 years, Swing Bass strings remain to this day the world standard for bass strings. Swing Bass strings have a characteristic red silk at the tuning-machine end of the strings. This silk makes it easier to fit the strings and improves grip on the tuning machine for better tuning stability.
