New concept by Thomastik-Infeld: The strings of the red and blue sets can be combined, i.e. the playing characteristic can be maintained without changing string tension. The balance and quality of play are maintained. The Infeld- red set will produce a rather dark sound on the majority of violins, while the blue set will tend to bring out the instrument's brilliance.
