For over a century, Austrian engineers have been producing quality strings based on the research of Dr Franz Thomastik and Otto Infeld.
The success of Thomastik-Infeld lies in a very particular concept developed in the 1950s: the invention of a flexible braided steel string core. Then, Dominant another major breakthrough: the best-known and most-played synthetic-core violin string in the world since the 1970s.
Right in the heart of Vienna, the city of music, nearly 3,000 different strings are produced to meet every need.
The union of experience and innovative spirit makes Thomastik-Infeld so unique. The highest quality standards and a constant eye on the future.
